2nd NEXUS IP and NOE Meeting, 12-13 January 2005 Prague, Czech Republic
The primary aim of this meeting was to bring existing and potentially new IP & NOE coordinators together with potential partners from SMEs, New Members States (NMS) and Associated Candidate Countries ACC). “The East”. The issue of how to involve SMEs and Eastern counties in running and future projects is one of the primary issues concerning the European Commission.
NEXUS, through a series of application-related subcontractors, has been approaching SMEs and Eastern organisations to see what they have to offer and to encourage them to attend this meeting. A listing of the capabilities of the potential candidates can be seen at www.nexus-mems.com/viewacc.asp
This meeting provided the opportunity to:
• describe the current state of your project to your fellow coordinators with a view to increasing cross-project dissemination and exploitation
• meet a number of SMEs and Eastern organisations and hear what they can do
• examine the issues relating to adding SMEs and Eastern partners.
Senior EC IST and NMP officials participated to the meeting.
